 The
most well known Diva of this decade Beyoncé has been a huge
part of fashion entertainment this decade with her music,
her style, and her modeling and acting abilities.
Beyoncé's
professional standout career began when she embarked on
solo career in 2001 from Destiny's Child.
At
the age of 7 Beyoncé
began singing and dancing in local contest at her home
in Houston Texas .
She soon went on to join her cousin Kelly Rowland and
class mate LeToya Luckett in a three girl singing group.
As the trio's talent grew Beyonce's father quit his full
time job to manage the group.
The
singing trio first national public appearance was star
search in 1992, which they were then named Girls Tyme.
As time went the group developed and made changes, one
of them being a their name change to Destiny's Child.
In
1997 their big break began when they signed to Columbia
Records.
In
the late 90's Destiny's Child became the best selling
female group of all time spawning four studio albums and
many number one hits such as "Say my name" and
what became their most recognizable song " Survivor".
In 2001, the group decided to work on separate careers.
Beyoncé
continue to work on her solo music career but also wanted
to venture out in a career in acting as well. A year later
in 2002 she landed her first movie role as Foxxy Cleopatra
in Austin Powers in Goldmember which she co-stared with
Michael Myers.
The
following year Beyoncé released her first solo album Dangerously
in Love in 2003. Dangerously in Love was a mega huge success,
it went multi platinum with four top ten singles, and
earn Beyoncé five Grammys. She then knew she was well
on her way as a huge solo artist.
The
following year Destiny's Child regrouped for a new album
titled Destiny Fulfilled. The trio went on tour to promote
the album then afterwards released their last final album
titled #1's which was a greatest hits compilation.
With
the final split of Destiny's Child Beyoncé would go on
to expand and fully focus on her solo career. In 2006
she released her sophomore album B' day. That same year
she also returned to the big screen in a staring role
in the 2006's hit movie musical Dream Girls. The movie
was a huge success and further helped Beyoncé to get recognition
as a serious actress.
Beyoncé kept busy, she went from her award winning performance
in Dream Girls back to touring in the Beyoncé Experience
concert tour in 2007. The following year she appeared
on the Hollywood big screen again in her second musical
Cadillac Records which she played the role as Etta James.
Beyoncé was a co-producer of the film which was set in
the early Chicago music scene era.
Beyoncé released her third album, I
am Sasha Fierce.
The album is a double disk album that is so far Beyoncé's
most personal album. It brings together two different
aspects of Beyoncé's personality that has already has
produced three number one hits.
During Beyoncé career as a music artist and actress she
has embarked on so many accolades along the way. Having
earned musical success with Grammys as well as being the
first African-American female music artist and second
woman to ever win the ASCAP Pop Songwriter of the Year
Award.
She is the first woman ever to appear on the cover of
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue that wasn't in a career
as a model. She has also been on the covers of hundreds
of fashion magazines and is a L'Oréal
spoke model.
Beyoncé also has her own fashion clothing line House
of Deréon
which she created with her mother Tina Knowles. It's a
line that is inspired by three generation of Knowles women.
It combines influences from Beyoncé's hip-hop generation,
the 70's style from her mothers generation, and the elegance
40's style from her grandmothers generation.
At
such a young age we can truly say
Beyoncé is a supermodel, a superole model to woman everywhere.
