We all know Fergie as the sexy hot singing Diva, However she's not just an over night success.

Fergie's career began as a singing teen actress on the television program Kids Incorporated which she spent over five seasons on. In 1984 she was the voice of Sally Brown in two Charlie Brown specials.

Fergie's heritage is Mexican and Native American ancestry. She was raised with a strict Catholic upbringing by school teacher parents. Born in Hacienda Heights, California, her parents encouraged Fergie and her younger sister Dana to pursue careers in the entertainment industry.

As a child actress Fergie landed role in commercials such as Rice Crispys. In 1984 she started her long-running musical television show appearances in Kids Incorporated. In 1989 , she left the spotlight to live a life as a so-called normal teenager.

But music was her passion and singing was what she loved to do. So in 1999 she teamed up with Stefanie Ridel and fellow Kids Incorporated member Renee Sandstrom to form the band Wild Orchid.

They had their own Saturday morning show on the FOX Family Channel and released their first album Wild Orchid with RCA. Then the following year they released Oxygen. They had a small hit when the song "Declaration," which was featured in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. Wild Crchid was ready to released their third album then recorded label axed the album and Wild Orchid broke up.

Fergie took the bands break up hard, and stayed out of the spotlight for a few years. She became a dance floor regular and doing gigs as a backup singer at a number of Los Angeles clubs and then she met will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.

They got to know eachother after time talking about her passion of singing. Soon after she was invited to join the group in the recording studio. She recorded five songs with the band the Black Eyed Peas. The band was pleased with the sound of her voice and invited her to join them permanently.

The 3rd album took two years to produce, but it was the album that would launch Fergie in to main stream. In 2003 they released Elephunk, and it spawned the number one hits "Let's Get It Started and "My Humps."

Fergie's success was skyrocketing as the lead singer. The Black Eyed Peas had two successful albums. But in 2004 Fergie decided to embark on a solo career. She released her solo album The Dutchess in 2006. Fergie had five hit songs from The Dutchess, including "London Bridge," "Glamorous", "Big Girls Don't Cry", and"Clumsy" all of which became top number one singles.
