Eva
Longoria 
Many
people recognize Eva Longoria from her role as retired
model Gabrielle Solis from ABC's hit show Desperate
Housewives. Well, in real life Eva is far from being
the retired model that she plays in the show. In real
life her career is hotter than the show Desperate Housewives
it's self.
Eva
is everywhere you look, she's been a covermodel for dozens
of fashion magazines, appears on television, movies, and
cosmetic ads.
Eva
was born in Corpus Christi,Texas, daughter of Mexican-American
parents. She is the youngest of four daughters. When growing
up Eva was teased by her sisters, she was considered the
"ugly duckling" of the family because she was
the only one with dark eyes, dark hair, and dark skin.
Eva
was raised on a ranch and as a little girl she wanted
to be an actress when she grew up. When she graduated
from highschool, she then went on to college at Texas
A&M University-Kingsville and earned her Bachelor
of Science in kinesiology.
During
Eva's college years she still had the showbiz bug in her.
Despite being teased as the ugly duckling from her childhood,
Eva entered a beauty pageant, and won the title of "Miss
Corpus Christi, USA" in 1998.
After
graduating from college, she could of pursued a career
in science. However, Eva still had those childhood dreams
of becoming an actress. So she entered a talent contest
which led her to Los Angeles. It was at that time which
she was spotted and signed by a theatrical agent.
Eva
landed her first television role in 2000, guest starring
in an episode of the popular Beverly Hills, 90210. Soon
after she got another guest appearance in the soap opera
General Hospital. However, it was in 2001 when she got
a huge break in the soap opera The Young and the Restless.
She played the role as Isabella Braña Williams
for two years. Her performance on the show won her an
ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Award for Outstanding
Actress in a Daytime Drama.
In
2003 the once called ugly ducking was in People en Español's
magazine's "Most Beautiful People" for 2003.
Eva
went on to do the show Dragnet which was canceled after
only two seasons. However, the timing could of not been
more perfect.
In
2004 Eva went on to star as Gabrielle Solis in one of
ABC's biggest success Desperate Housewives. The show became
an overnight hit. Eva co-stars with actresses such as
Teri Hatcher and Nicollette Sheridan. Even though her
co-stars have been current it girls in the pass such as
Teri Hatcher, it didn't stop Eva from becoming one the
favorite and most popular among the show's house wifes.
In 2005 she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best
Performance by an Actress in a Television Series.
Even
though she didn't win the Golden Globe yet, her career
and popularity has launch faster than she could ever imagine
as a young girl. In 2006 she co-stared in the movie The
Sentinel, along side Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland.
Later this year she lends her voice to the animated movie
Foodfight.
Eva
has been listed as Maxim's magazines 1# Hottest Female
Stars of 2005 and 2006, for two years in a role, something
know else has done before. She is also in one of Jessica
Simpons music videos, A Pulbic Affair, and claims
they are good friends.
This
past November she got engaged to NBA basketball star Tony
Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, the plan to get married
in July of this year.
So
