Some
people certainly have a style and flare of their own.
Well, Angelina Jolie is all original. With her exotic
looks, love of tattoos, and fav color of black, Angelina
isn't your plain ol' superstar.
Angelina
was born in 1975, daughter of famous actor father Jon
Voight. Her parents divorced when she was just and baby
, so she spent most of her childhood life being raise
by her mother.
She
began studying acting at Lee Strasberg Theater Institute
at the age of 11. However, years later she made a career
change into the world of modeling. At 16 years old, Angelina
step into the life of a professional model and she was
soon off traveling the world. Her travels eventually lead
to a stop in New York where she entered film studies at
New York University.
Angelina went on to appear in music
videos for Lenny Kravitz, Meatloaf, and the Rolling Stones.
She moved back to her birth place of Los Angeles and soon
began landing several different acting parts on the bigscreen.
Angelina continued working on film and television. However,
it was HBO film Gia, where Angelina
truly began to shine as a superstar. She played the part
of the original 70's supermodel Gia Carangi. It was an
amazing performance of the actress/model, her portrayal
of the famous 70's supermodel was stunning. The film won
Angelina a golden globe and a Emmy nomination. Since then
she has acted in many other films. Another huge success
was the film Girl Interrupted, which she won another
Golden Globe and first time Oscar.
Angelina
continues to shine as a superstar with many top movies
since Gia. However, it is still her role in the Tomb Raider
films that she has a well known fan base. The last Tomb
Raider film titled Lara
Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life 2003, she starred
once again as the lead character Laura Croft, the
video game supermodel that has appeared on more magazine
covers than any other non human character in magazine
history. The character role fit Angelina perfectly as
they both have mysterious sides and a zest of style all
on their own. After her last Tomb Raider film she changed
gears with Beyond
Borders, a love
story in which Angelina follows her heart and shows a
much different side to herself than the previous action
hero in the Tomb Raider series.
In
2004 she added three more movie hits to her credits, SkyCaptain
and the World of Tomorrow
was a action film that took on the look of the films of
the 30's, and in the thriller Taking Lives she had the
role as a FBI agent in search of a serial killer. Then
it was her voice acting skills in the Dreamworks animated
film Shark
Tale.
It
was in the 2005 movie Mr
and Mrs Smith when rumors of a romance
between Angelina and Brad Pitt started. Brad Pitt left
his wife at the time Jennifer Aniston and he and Angelina
have been together every since. They are now raising 3
kids, to by adoption and on of their own.
Angelina's newest filmed title The
Good Shepherd was released the month. The
film is directed by Robert De Niro whom she also co-stars
with along side Matt Damon.
In her spare time she is
trying to bring awareness and aid to counties devastated
with disease and third world conditions.
