Paris
Hilton
Many
People know Paris Hilton from last seasons top Reality
TV show on Fox, called The
Simple Life. It was a show
that put Paris and her best friend Nicole Richie( daughter
of singer Linoel Richie) on a farm in Arkansas, to live
a month with a family, without the glamourous jet setter
life style that they are a custom too.
The
show was a instant hit, and called one of the funniest
shows on television last season. This was a huge stepping
stone for the launch of Paris into the homes regular average
people that didn't know much of this socialite party girl.
Paris is well known for her party girl antics with hollywoods
young celeb crowd, and has also dated some of hollywoods
leading actors. However it was until the show The Simple
Life, that Paris mania sweeped across the USA.
What
makes Paris life so much different, is that she just isn't
a typical party girl, she's eldest daughter of real estate
tycoon Rick Hilton, and great-granddaughter of hotel mogul
Conrad Hilton in which the family fortune is estimated
at $300 million. That makes her and her younger sister
Nicky heirs to the Hilton Hotel fortune, Paris Hilton
is worth millions.
Growing up in the Hilton family Paris spent her childhood
years between Manhattan's ritzy Waldorf-Astoria hotel
and other Hilton hotels in Beverly Hills and the Hamptons.
However, at the age 23 she's on her own now and is bi-coastal
with a residency on 30th floor of Waldorf Astoria in NYC,
her room at her parent's home in South Hampton, her own
home in LA, and loft apartment in downtown New York,
After
graduating from high school Paris felt that college was
something that she wanted to do, so around the year 2000
she started a career in modeling, Paris began appearing
in shows for designers such as Marc Bouwer and Catherine
Malandrino, and did an ad Italian campaign for Iceberg.
She
went on to pose for fashion magazines GQ, Vanity Fair
and FHM before The
Simple Life fame. However,
it was after the launch of the show that you could not
see a magazine or tabloid without Paris on the cover.
The success of the show put Paris on the covers of countless
tabloids and magazines such as People magazine. However,
it was not all good things about Paris that these tabloids
were digging at. They were stories about her spoiled party
girl life style, misbehaving, rumors of dancing on the
tables in clubs and going topless, and her countless romances
with well known celebs such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Edward
Furlong, and boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
However,
it was one of those past romances that fueled the fire
of the tabloids and Internet, when a sex video tape of
Paris at the age of 19, having sex with Rick Solomon,
former husband of Shannen Doherty, surfaced on the internet.
This video started popping up all over the internet just
as fast as the Pamela Anderson -Tommy Lee video did years
ago. The video was put out on the internet just before
her show the simple life was launched on Fox, and it created
a media frenzy. Fox had spent months showing comercials
for the Simple Life, and now was in a turmoil. Paris guilt
with embarresment even cancelled appearances on shows
such as David Letterman to promote her new show, and she
even stayed away from the press. However, by the time
the show aired, like the saying goes there is no such
thing as bad press, with all media hype about the video,
now the public knew all about Paris. So with all that
bad press, it helped the hype-up show.
Paris
has also been a a few movies in the past such as Zoolander,
QIK2JDG, Nine Lives, Wonderland, Dr.
Seuss' The Cat in the Hat,
L.A. Knights, and has just finished completing a movie
titled Raising Helen.
So
with her new movie showing soon, her modeling career and
rumours of a sequel to The
Simple Life, we are sure
they will be plenty of more Paris to come.
