Rebecca
Romijn:
She's
a Cali girl, Californian all the way! Rebecca was
born in the early 70s' to hippie parents in Berkeley, California.
She went from a Birkenstock-wearing college student, to
wearing the Birks to accent Valentino in just a very short
time.
In 1995, while attending UC Santa Cruz, Rebecca decided
to sign up with a San Francisco modeling agency to help
pay the bills. The struggling music major thought she
could land a small job to pay with her college bills.
In just a swift two months later, she found herself on
the runway in Paris.
Just starting out as a fresh new model, the world of high
fashion was very intimidating to Rebecca. However, she
decided to a year off from her studies and school to take
her modeling career further. Then in what seem like just
over night she landed contracts with top fashion houses
such as Christian Dior and Escada. She was soon strutting
the catwalks in their haute couture and sport lines.
A short year later from deciding to give modeling a try,
Rebecca would soon become a famed
Victoria's Secret
model. In 1996,
she hit the main stream public as the fantasy girl in
Miller Light's advertising campaign as well as the famed
milk mustache girl in the Got Milk advertising
campaigns.
People magazine took notice of Rebecca and in 1997 she
was featured as magazine's
50 Most Beautiful People
. The magazine said she was
chosen not because of her looks, but for her sense of
humor about her body and her profession.
So even after appearing in
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit
Editions and top fashion
magazines. Rebecca doesn't just stop there, she also the
acting thing going on. She has appeared in popular sitcoms
such as
Friends
and
Just Shoot Me
and is also a formal host of MTV's
House of Style.
Her big screen credits are such films as a cameo appearance
in
Austin Powers 2: the Spy
Who Shagged me and the
block buster hit
XMEN .
Her latest released film was the crazywild fast pace movie
Rollerball 2002
, a 1975 remake with co-stars
such as Chris Klein and LL Cool J. Rebecca played a motocycle
riding vixen that was the star and the love interest of
Chris Kleins character.
