Jessica Alba:
Just
in her early twenties, Jessica Alba is putting in 14-hour days filming
Fox's hit show Dark
Angel . She plays Max, a genetically
engineered soldier. Before starting the role in 2000, she trained hard
for a year, doing three hours of weight training and cardio a day, while
taking kung fu and gymnastic classes. She also spent many days in the desert
learning to ride dirt bikes and street bikes, so yes, that really is her
riding on the show.
Jessica
had always wanted to be an actress since the age of five. However, it wasn't
until the age of 12 that she took her first acting lessons and she was
then quickly signed by an agency just a few months later. In 1994, she
landed her first role in Camp Nowhere.
She
went on to appear in commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penny, and a reoccurring
role in Nickelodeon's The Secret World of Alex Mac , including the
series Flipper. However, it was in 1998 she Jessica got her taste of teen
queen stardom, playing the role of a teen mother in a few episodes of the
hit show Beverly
Hills 90210.

landed a role in 1999's Never Been Kissed and not long after auditioned
for the show Dark Angel. She went on to win the TV Guide's 2001 Breakout
Star of the Year Award for her work in Dark
Angel.
Jessica
has been on the covers of countless magazines since staring as Max from
Dark Angel. She has been on all the major late night talk shows, she's
also one the most popular celebrities on the internet, and was recently
signed as a spokesmodel for L'oreal
cosmetics.
Jessica
graduated highschool at the age of 16. She said, "If your happy that's
all that matters, She never really clicked with people in school,
she never really fit in with the preppy girls and she stayed away from
the hardcore drug addicts, and she's not the latina mexican chola girl."
