Charlize,
was born in South Africa, she trained as a ballet dancer since the age
of six and began a modeling career at age 16. Then at the age of 18 Charlize
moved to New York on her own.
She continued her
modeling career working modeling jobs when she could land them and taking
bread from restaurants when work was thin. She was accustomed to the South
African climate so to get over her woes of the cold and wet New York winters.
She would attend New York's Joffrey Ballet school. The love for dance was
Charlize childhood passion. However, a knee injury ended her
chances at becoming a dancer and that was when Charlize decided to head
to Hollywood.
Charlize first movie
was "Two Days in The Valley." However, it was the movie "The Devils
Advocate" with Keanu Reeves when people really started to take notice of
Charlize. Since then she has appeared in many other movies including her
newest film "Sweet Novemeber ."
